Their name in sign language
Find their name on the names page: each one shows the handshapes in order, with a picture to print for a bedroom door or a classroom label. Not there? Spell it from the alphabet.

Tips for parents and teachers
- Start with their name, then the letters in the names of family and friends.
- Three or four new letters a day is plenty. Begin each day by signing yesterday's letters.
- Use it for spelling practice: fingerspell this week's spelling words, letter by letter.
- Play guess the word: one person fingerspells a short word (CAT, DOG, SUN, MOM), the other reads it.
- Teach it as part of a language, not a code: fingerspelling is how ASL spells names and places, and Deaf people use it every day.
The camera check is optional. If you use it, the video is processed in the browser and never uploaded or recorded. The letter decks need no account.
