How to say “Nice to meet you” in ASL

- NICE: Slide the palm of your dominant flat hand across the palm of your other flat hand, from the heel to the fingertips.
- MEET: Hold up both index fingers, palms facing each other, apart, and bring them together, like two people meeting.
- YOU: Point your index finger at the person.
NICE MEET YOU usually follows an exchange of names, which are fingerspelled. MEET uses index fingers pointing up, like a D without the thumb touching the other fingers.
